Crafting has been something I have been doing for years and T, my 7 yr old DD has been doing it with me for a few years now.
We love creating and desire that our crafts be used to encourage others and bring joy into people's lives so we strive for quality and good workmanship in what we make. All our non-kinetic cards have white inner paper so that any message you write is easily readable and the card is packaged with an envelope in a cellophane bag to ensure it is kept looking its best. With our kinetic cards we seek to ensure that there is room for your message to be written.
I originally got into card making enthusiastically at our local church craft group years ago, being taught to use gift wrap to provide the images for the cards. Since then I have moved on to stamping, not very successfully, more recently digi stamps, napkin art & painted pieces on my cards. We have tried all sorts of card designs and use Crafter's Companion's Ultimate Pro, a Big Shot and my new Silver Bullet Electronic Die Cutting Machine in our crafting.
When I began downloading and saving digi stamps I was not intending to sell our cards so didn't save the images according to what could be used on cards we sell and cards we make to give away. As a result we are now only using digi stamps that been have downloaded more recently and that we know we are free to use on cards we want to sell. (Unless we are making a card we know is for a person we will be giving it to, in which case we may use an older image.) We are also moving away from the use of digi stamps and endeavouring to use more napkin art, pieces of T's artwork or our playing with paints and distress inks, melted wax crayons & our own designs of die cuts and embossing folders. Thus our cards are generally going to be one off's - some of the designs may be used often but the results will always be different depending on what elements we put together for the finished product.
Our desire is that this blog will be used to share our creations and provide an opportunity for people to purchase them if they so desire. (Any prices quoted will be in Australian dollars.)
